BIG
WHEELIE & THE HUBCAPS is a National recording act known throughout
the United States and Canada as the greatest greaser band in the
land. Their music ranges throughout the 1950's and 1960's and
is enjoyed by people of all ages. · Buffalo's Mayor James D. Griffin
proclaimed August 20th BIG WHEELIE & THE HUBCAPS day and presented
them with a key to the city on that date in 1985. · The
band has cut 5 albums, with various singles reaching the
"charts", · They have been inducted into the Buffalo
Music Hall Of Fame · one of their albums is on display at the
Buffalo Historical Museum.
In addition to being the headline performer at many concerts throughout
North America BIG WHEELIE & THE HUBCAPS has worked with other
recording acts including Chuck Berry, Roy Orbison, Dion, Little
Richard, Paul Anka, Bill Cosby, Helen Reddy, The Coasters, The
Diamonds, The Crystals, The Shirells, Fleetwood Mac, and The Boxtops.
During
the expanse of his thirty years with The Hubcaps, BIG WHEELIE
has performed at Kleinhans Music Hall, Memorial Auditorium, Ralph
Wilson Stadium, Dunn Tire Park, Felt Forum and many other large
venues. The band is also at home playing at outdoor events such
as those hosted by town parks, county fairs and expositions and
community field days. The professional quality of the BIG WHEELIE
& THE HUBCAPS show allows them to be enjoyed by the whole
family, many parents even comment that an evening with BIG WHEELIE
& THE HUBCAPS is an excellent way to teach their children
about the roots of rock-n-roll.
